Surats To Recite Daily / Weekly And Their Virtues

بِسْمِ اللّٰهِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِيْمِ

“In the name of Allah the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.”

1) SURAH YASEEN EVERY MORNING AND EVENING

“Whoever recites Surah Yaseen at the beginning of the day, then he will be in ease and goodness until the evening. And whoever recites it in the evening, then he will be in ease and goodness until the next morning”. [Sunan Darimi]

“Whoever recites Surah Yaseen at night seeking the pleasure of Allah, His sins will be forgiven.” [Muwatta Imam Malik]

2) MANZIL EVERY MORNING AND EVENING OR AT LEAST ONCE A DAY

The manzil is a collection of verses of the Quran. It is found in the Hadith of Rasulullah ﷺ as a protection from evil, whispers of shaitaan, black magic, nazr etc. [Sunan Ibn Majah, Mustadrak Hakim,  Musnad Ahmad, Tabrani]

3) SURAH MULK EVERY NIGHT

Whomsoever recites Surah Mulk every night, Allah will protect him from the punishment of the grave by virtue of this Surah. [Nasa’i]

4) SURAH WAQIAH EVERY NIGHT

“Whoever recites Surah Al Waqiah every night will never suffer from poverty. [Ibn Kathir on the authority of Ibn Asakir]

5) SURAH SAJDAH EVERY NIGHT

Rasulullah ﷺ would not sleep until he recited Surah Sajdah and Surah Mulk [Tirmidhi]

6) SURAH DUKHAAN EVERY THURSDAY AFTER MAGHRIB

“Whoever recites Ha Mim Ad- Dukhan during Friday night, he shall be forgiven”. [Sunan Tirmidhi]

7) SURAH KAHF EVERY JUM’U’AH

“Whoever recites Surat Al-Kahf on Jumu’ah will have a light that will shine from him, from one Jumu’ah to the next.” [An-Nasa’i, Al-Baihaqi]

“Whomsoever recited Surah Kahf on Friday will be protected for the [next] eight days from all trials. If Dajjal were to emerge [during those eight days], he would be protected from him.” [Al Ahadithul Mukhtarah]

8) FIRST AND LAST 10 AYATS OF SURAH KAHF DAILY

“Whomsoever memorises the first ten verses of Surah Kahf, will be saved from the trial of Dajjal.” [Sahih Muslim]

In another narration in Muslim the Prophet ﷺ mentioned the last ten verses of this Surah, hence one should recite the first & last ten.
