بِسْمِ اللّٰهِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِيْمِ

“In the name of Allah the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.”

After completing the sa’ee, men must shave your head or trim the hair of the entire head in such a manner that they trim at least one inch of each hair. Shaving the head is more virtuous.

The women should trim slightly more than one inch from the end of their plait.

After shaving or trimming the hair, the rituals of Umrah have ended and all restrictions imposed due to the ihraam will be lifted.

Ruling No 1: If the hair is very fine at the tip of the plait, then that tip should be ignored & one should measure the inch from futher up the plait.

Ruling No 2: Even if the hair is very short, a woman must still cut an inch of her to leave the state of ihraam.

Ruling No 3: The hair must be cut at the hotel. The hair must not be cut at safaa / marwa, as the hair will fall around masjid haram & non – mahram will see her hair.

Ruling No 4: There is no need for the woman to wait for her husband to cut his hair before cutting hers.

Ruling No 5: It is permissible for a woman to cut her own hair to come out of ihraam.
